BASIC / PHYSICAL:
1. Full name: Kaius Cathal Baird / The Fear Dorcha
2. Notable meaning(s): As he understands it, Cathal (Gaelic: 'great warrior') was his original given name. Kaius (Latin: 'cheerful') was given to him by the Queen of the Unseelie as mockery when he requested a name. Baird is the name of the clan to which he once belonged.
3. Do they like it?: Indifferent. He shortens Kaius to Kai. It sounds more modern, and carries fewer negative connotations for him.
4. Weight / build / healthy or not?: 6'4. Kai is an enormous creature of robust health, musculature and presence.
5. Notable physical flaws, marks, abnormalities (even just perceived): His arms and torso are heavily tattooed. The ends of his hair tends to turn gold if he lets it grow long enough, a small remnant of his first nature as minor Seelie nobility. A keloid scar splits his left eyebrow. His left thumb has limited range of motion. When he isn't glamoured, his hands are forearms are black, fading in color at his elbows and biceps. Including the schlera, his eyes turn black. His teeth become slightly sharper and longer.
6. Taste in clothes: Atypical. He mixes some artistic and anachronistic elements in his dress, reflecting a love of human ingenuity and aesthetic values spanning centuries. He likes odd vests, long stagecoach coats with pronounced collars, has a collection of odd, slightly macabre canes (though he doesn't need one himself) and an entire closet of finely crafted hats carefully stored and maintained. He likes pocket watches and time pieces (he enjoys the irony, as this too is relative and time has next to no meaning to him) and single weft, fine leather shoes or heavy, sturdy boots. (Ex: he wore a navy suit with the pants haphazardly/partly tucked into leather work boots to a summer ball, with a slightly torn black tee beneath it rather than a dress shirt and tie.) He wears a miniature raven skull with a celtic Dara knot ring on a leather cord around his neck.
7. How they smile (Under what circumstances does it vary?):
8. "Tell" for lying: Truth is relative, lies are a construct. Unless the Fer is active, his demeanor remains flat and measured for almost all exchanges, 'lies' included.
9. Posture: Indistinctly predatory. He carries himself socially in a way reminiscent of a career soldier or large cat attempting to go unnoticed.
10. Volume of speech: Quiet. For whatever reason, he finds he doesn't have to work hard to command attention when speaking to humans. Raising his voice is needless.
11. Most expressive parts of the body: Eyes and shoulders. The lack of symmetry in his eyebrows draws attention and makes small movement in his face more pronounced. The tension and carriage of his shoulders reflects his mood and comfort
12. Eye contact & comfort level: Kai makes polite eye contact, neither avoiding it or overdoing it. The Fer stares, and blinks too infrequently.
13. Etiquette (holding doors open, use of language in different scenarios, handshakes): He's OLD school. He offers his arm as a matter of course when walking with women of any age, regardless of whether he likes them much personally, and always walks closest to streets and byways. He opens doors, speaks in an unagitated 'inside voice' regardless of his emotional state, doesn't raise his voice regardless of company, etc.
14. How close do they stand to others in a small or large group? Do they walk through a crowd or around? Other common behaviors in social settings: This isn't a situation he'd enjoy, and would attempt to avoid it or excuse himself quickly if possible. One on one conversation is illuminating. In large groups of people he finds it often becomes a competition over who can speak loudest, over their company, or earn the most attention or praise. He'd walk directly through a crowd, however.
15. Nonverbal communication (talking with hands, crossing arms, hands in pockets, hyper expressive face, etc): Occasionally he'll clasp his hands behind his back when he speaks, or is being addressed. The Fer has a habit of messing with the rim of his hat, checking time pieces too frequently and swinging a cane, if available.
16. Common nonverbal greeting (ignore, high five, wave, polite nod, etc): Polite nod.
17. How do they indicate nonverbally? (Point, nod, clear throat, raise hand, etc): He'll clear his throat to call attention if speech would be rude or an interruption. He points to indicate specifically.

PERSONALITY:
1. Good habits: Diligent with time, never late when he's made a commitment.
2. Bad habits:
3. Drugs / alcohol / smoking (& associated reasons): The Fer enjoys an occasional cigar. Both enjoy whiskey and bourbon.
4. What do they do too much, or too little of?:
5. Best thing in life (present): Two, of equal importance. He's stolen his first taste of relative freedom since the beginning of his servitude, and did so with Devon.
6. Worst thing (present):
7. Significant early traumas or core wounds:
8. Notable, seemingly insignificant memories:
9. Deepest fears:
10. Daredevil or cautious:
11. Is this subjective to having company or being alone?:
12. Spirituality / Religion: The Fomori were real. Logically, the Celtic Gods must be, as well.
13. What makes them laugh?:
14. What doesn't?:
15. What embarrasses them?:
16. Common emotional reactions (whoops when excited, snorting when amused, etc):
17. Nervous / anxious tics: Clicks his teeth.
18. Deflection / coping behaviors:
19. Comfort gestures & self touches:
20. Other comfort methods / modalities (safe spaces, comfort food, activities, etc):
21. Worst thing that could happen to them:
22. Would it 'break' them? If no, what would, or what else would?:
23. What would they give their life for?:
24. Personality flaws:
25. What are they reluctant to tell people, or have known?:
26. How do they feel about themselves:
27. Selfish or selfless (if both, under which circumstances?): Primarily selfless, although stealing a prize from (Devon) from an Unseelie prince was, he believes, thoroughly selfish, even if it likely saved her life in the end. Abandoning the court to run was also exclusively motivated by selfish interest.
28. How do they want to project themselves, vs. how do they actually project?:
29. What would they make a public scene about?:
30. What, if anything, would drive them to violence? To what degree?:
31. False beliefs & hypocrisies, if any:

SKILLS / VOCATION / LEISURE:
1. Extremely skilled at: Hunting, tracking, human languages and linguistic variances, navigating human cultures, making 'kitchen sink' meals out of odd or unlikely ingredients, identifying malt whiskeys and their histories (particularly those from the highlands), lengthy experience with a variety of archaic and more modern weapons, horseback riding and animal husbandry, falconing, plays the lute and guitar, maintaining and repairing time pieces
2. Extremely unskilled at: Small talk, making any sort of art, understanding or navigating social media, internetspeak and any significant modernity,
3. Favorite hobbies, sports, pastimes: Collecting clever or unusual clocks, watches, and timepieces. Riding in the hunt was a thrill, but happens infrequently now. When sent across the veil to collect a soul, he enjoyed making bargains with the few Gifted targets who saw him coming and recognized their end; if they would chaperone him through their life for a dew days and share the experience, he would lie and claim it took him those few extra days to locate the intended. In that way it became a grim sort of hobby to live small 'samples' of human lives.
4. Do they work to support hobbies, or use hobbies to fill time between work?: Work was compulsory and constant. He entertained himself as he could, when time allowed.
5. As a child, what career did they want as an adult? If they aren't doing that, why?: He wanted to be a scholar of human theology and philosophies. It ended in his execution.
6. Financial situation. Are they comfortable with this?: Check to check. While attached to the cirque he wants for little. He's making it work.
7. Spending habits: Mostly nonexistent. He buys food and necessities.
8. Ideally how would they spend a stormy day?: Walking through it, most likely. The world and the habits of the people in it change in fascinating ways according to weather.
9. Ideally, how would they spent a long weekend?:
10. Taste in music: Instrumental, preferably live. He took a Galican woman for the court in the early 1900s who sang Flamenco. He's loved it since. He also likes lengthy concertos and movie scores, because they tell a full, evolved story. Devon's piano playing is beautiful, as well.
11. Taste in art: All of it. Even the weird performance art. It's an expression of the human mind's attempt to categorize and make sense of life. That can't be anything but beautiful.
12. If any, which hobbies, leisure activities (etc) are of little interest, or repel them?: None in particular. He thinks Taxidermy extremely odd, but understands the human want to preserve that which doesn't last.

RELATIONS:
1. Family situation: He knows which clan he came from. That's it. His immediate family is likely dead.
2. Favorite family member: He has murky memories of a woman who he thinks must have been his mother. She had a sharp but lovely singing voice and used too much cinnamon in cooking. He thinks he must have loved her very much.
3. Least favorite: N/A
4. Would they consider themselves a 'good' child/sibling, etc?: Not likely, or perhaps he was just foolish one to have done what he did, and not consider that it might blow back on him or his family.
5. Do they have a role model? Whom, and why: A very old Slaugh (A Gancanagh) was conservatively patient with him for the first few years after entrance to the Unseelie Court. It helped him acclimate.
6. Friend situation: His best friend is a Cu Sith, Kier. He hasn't seen him in several decades. There's nothing wrong with that. They'll pick up again like it was yesterday when they see each other again. A condition of exceptionally long life, perhaps.
7. Would they consider themselves a 'good' friend?: Unsure. His shackling to the will of the Unseelie takes precedent over everything, includiing managing any friiendly relationships.
8. Strengths as a friend: Loyalty
9. Shortcomings: Lack of availability. Even if he wanted to, he might be unlikely to be there for a friend, should they need him.
10. Primary platonic Love Language (verbal, acts of service, physical touch, gifting, quality time): Acts of service. He has been a slave. Choosing to put the needs of someone else before his own again, now that he's free, is an expression of love, affection or respect for him, and not casually done.
11. Primary romantic Love Language: Acts of service. Same as above.
12. Sexuality / romantic identity: Romance has never been a condition of his existence or designated function. Sexually, hetero, although that too was mostly directed by the whim and desire of the court.
13. Opinion on relationships: Humans and Fae alike seem to use them as a security blanket, and often neglect truly knowing themselves on their own. The comfort of a partnership seems a flimsy one, especially for mortals. Marriage is even stranger. Humans present themselves like birds, often decieving or not being entirely truthful about who they really are, in their deepest selves, in order to attract and trap a mate with a jointly signed document, then get upset when they later discover that they're incompatible. Coupling that doesn't end is a pretty idea for the sake of security, but only seems to work for a few bird and canid species in the natural world.
14. Opinion on sex: When chosen voluntarily, thoroughly enjoyable. The Fae are hedonists and pleasure seekers. He's not so far removed from their base nature by what he is that he doesn't share that trait, but sex isn't the world-shaking thing it's often made out to be in human culture.
15. Have they been in love? Details: Partly. He held one of Mabh's daughters in such high esteem it might have been called courtly love. She was clever, finer than most courtiers, and gentler.
16. If it ended, who called it quits and why: N/A
17. Top three things they'd look for in a partner: Charitable heart. Sharp mind. Acceptance.
18. "Dealbreakers" (physical, ethical, habits, personality, etc): Unseelie Fae. 'Normal' humans. Werecreatures (they smell like wet dog).
19. Dating habits / history (serial monogamist, 'bad luck' streak, primarily single, etc. Why?):
20. In flirting, do they make the first move?: This isn't a situation that really happens, but if he did, it would probably be accidental.
21. Turn ons, turn offs, kinks (any associated reasons or experiences?):
22. Best / worst standout romantic or sexual experience(s)?:
23. Additional notes:
